twobu.co Origin Story
When Keri met Jill
Keri and Jill didn’t just meet at a nonprofit, they collided with purpose. Jill, the board president, helped make the call to bring Keri in to lead the organization’s rebrand, marketing, and fundraising strategy.
Working side-by-side on campaigns, community outreach, and fundraising, we noticed something. We were surrounded by the untold stories of extraordinary people doing extraordinary good … so we started Two Brave Unicorns, a podcast to highlight the companies, nonprofits, and people making a difference in the world.
We soon realized that purpose-driven work deserves louder, clearer, more compelling storytelling. That’s when twobu.co was born. An impact-focused, results-driven creative and growth agency built for the mission-driven. We wanted to create a place where strategy meets heart, where imagination meets precision, where purpose becomes momentum.
A partnership forged in service, sharpened through collaboration, and fueled by a shared belief that world-changers deserve legendary storytelling.

Keri Cotterman, Co-Founder & CEO of twobu.co, is the kind of marketing strategist who walks into a room and immediately finds the story everyone else missed. A nonprofit champion and brand builder, she’s known for transforming concepts into immersive experiences and campaigns that connect on a human level.
But Keri’s superpower goes beyond creativity. She brings a sharp technical edge to every project. With deep experience supporting nonprofits, startups, emerging technologies, and innovation-focused organizations, she has a rare ability to translate complex scientific, technical, and engineering solutions into clear, compelling narratives that funders, partners, and customers can actually understand. Whether she’s supporting founders in Tech, aerospace, defense, or cutting-edge SaaS, or nonprofits, Keri bridges the gap between brilliant ideas and the audiences they’re built to serve.
From planning unforgettable events to crafting personalized, wildly creative campaigns, Keri shows up with heart, strategy, and just enough edge to keep things interesting, delivering storytelling that resonates and strategy that drives real momentum.
Jill Holmes, Co-Founder & COO of twobu.co, is a former television executive turned nonprofit leader with a talent for elevating the conversations. Known for her sharp wit, big heart, and producer’s instinct for what moves people, Jill blends creativity with precision to shape stories, strategies, and experiences that leave a lasting mark.
Before stepping into the nonprofit world, Jill built her career in entertainment, developing and producing content for major networks and guiding projects with complex timelines, high stakes, and even higher expectations. That background sharpened her ability to spot strong stories, manage intricate details, and bring big visions to life without losing the magic in the process.
Jill’s transition into nonprofit leadership added another dimension to her expertise. As a long-time board member and board chair, she has firsthand experience navigating organizational needs, fundraising complexities, and community impact, giving her a rare 360-degree understanding of how missions succeed (and why they sometimes don’t).
